Description
The methanol plant was built in 1978.
Capacity of the plant is 155,000 tonnes of methanol per year from natural gas.

The technological process of methanol production can be divided into three sections:
• S-100 synthesis gas production,
• S-200 production of crude methanol,
• S-300 crude methanol distillation and pure methanol production
The project addresses the removal of the methanol plant’s technological equipment.
Part of useless installations and equipment will be removed. All useful installations and equipment will be prepared for transport to a more suitable location outside Slovenia.
